General Guidelines: Literary Magazine
We’re looking for short fiction and poetry with a twist. Keep it under 2000 words for prose and 500 words for poetry (more than one short story or poem are acceptable as long as together they are under the requested word count). Please include a brief third-person biography (150 words or less) with your submission.
We accept simultaneous submissions but please withdraw if you’ve been accepted elsewhere.
We are an inclusive publisher. We reserve the right to refuse any work that contains racism, sexism, homophobia or transphobia.
Send your submission as an attached Word document (double-spaced, 12 point font) to darkwinterlit@gmail.com. Specify that you are submitting to the literary magazine. Include the title(s) and word count of your submission in the subject line.

By submitting to DarkWinter Literary Magazine, you agree, if accepted, to grant us first electronic rights and non-exclusive archival rights. All submissions remain the intellectual property of the author. All images courtesy of DarkWinter Designs unless otherwise specified.
If your work is subsequently published elsewhere after appearing in DarkWinter Literary Magazine, we’d love if you’d credit us as the first place the piece was published.
Work previously published in print only is welcome if there is no violation of original rights.
