About Caught Looking:

Eddie Conway is a gifted major league baseball player with a secret he's kept since childhood. Without being able to explain how, Eddie can slow down time and identify a pitch before he decides where to swing. This unbelievable ability brings him fame and financial stability, playing the sport he loves. However, when new digital technology captures the anomaly of Eddie’s swing, accusations of cheating are raised and questions begin to arise about his sincerity toward the game. Even his wife, Liz, is convinced that Eddie has been lying to her and their two children. The overwhelming possibility of being permanently expelled from the sport he loves, and losing his wife and kids in the process engulfs Eddie as he struggles to convince them of the impossible. Can Eddie prove his superhuman talent and clear his name, or will he be regarded as the biggest cheater to ever play the game?

Advance Praise for Caught Looking:

Caught Looking is written with unwavering passion. An introspective and touching story for anyone who sees baseball for what it is; not just a game, but a microcosm of the world around us. Dealing with themes of truth and trust, failure and perseverance, the story will conjure nostalgic memories of days spent on the field, and what it means to grow up. At its heart, Caught Looking is a powerful reminder to keep going—even when the odds are stacked against us and life throws a curveball we never saw coming.

–Emma Côté, author of Unrest (Anvil Press)

I am not much of a baseball fan, but this book pulled me directly into centre field. A good read that kept me engaged and entertained. Secondary bonus? I now know a lot more about the ups, the downs, and the unexpected in baseball.
