Frankenstein Reawakened
A hideous, disfigured,
Creature made of limbs
And spare parts; a lump
Of grotesque flesh lying
On a slab in stillness, in
The cold, damp and dark;
Awaiting the rumble with
Exhilarating expectations
Of thunder and lightning
And an electrical charge;
Alongside a sacrosanct
Visionary, an unorthodox
Young scientist, a lunatic
If you like; applying the
Principles of Galvanism
To reanimate dead tissue;
Playing God creates such
Unintended issues, as the
Rejected creation, now,
Aborted from its master’s
Affection seeks revenge.
