Lilith’s Eve
As tear-away tongues lash out
From black cats that spew and spout
A witch-hat is like the top of a house
With cobwebs and a quiet mouse
A chimney with smoke from a cauldron’s brew
And walking-bones that bathe in its stew
As lightning will crash down from the sky
Monsters will frown and then, ask, “Why?”
The wood will creak with rusted nails
And brooding bones shall give a wail
The creeper will have his heads to roll
Sorrow is coming to take its toll
The face that’s filled with horror-sights
Comes out at night to see your fright
Terror fills your lungs with screaming peeves
