Nocturnal Wishes

Floating atop waters at midnight

The seas of drifting words in moonlight

When the moon’s serious ways are blonde

The light of tedious day is gone

Precarious dips into the wine

With lavish, luscious lips entwined

Sensual, tumultuous breathing

And wonderful fires leaning

The “devout” for the flickering

                                          Stays without the bickering                                         

Compliments call, and so forth

Snow and restful walls of north

Wishes in orchestrated shapes

Witches with their fated capes

A tongue implores the final intendance

To be sung again with resonance
